The IDEAS Z2 Design Facility incorporates a full complement of high-energy performance concepts in an elegant, comfortable and high-functioning design. The building is designed to produce more electric energy than it consumes via its rooftop solar panels, and to have no reliance on fossil fuels for electricity, heating or cooling. Estimated energy consumption is approximately 60% below ASHRAE 90.1.
